Description
In the very heart of Franciacorta, in Camignone, lies the centuries-old residence, its 16th-century winecellars and surrounding vineyards, all eloquent testimony to the age-old winemaking traditions that the Barboglio family inherited in 1836.
Mosnel has 40 hectares of estate vineyards dedicated to DOCG production, subdivided into 15 parcels. They surround the winery complex, thus facilitating harvest operations and ensuring that the grapes arrive immediately in the cellar for pressing, Vineyard cultivation is organic, in accordance with European Union regulations The grape varieties planted are: DOCG: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir
The structure of the soils where the vineyards are planted in morainic areas is more calcareous than clay, and moderately deep. The vineyards largely face east-southeast are planted on the Fantecolo hillslopes.
