Kilo Wines Terms and Conditions
It is our intention to offer you fantastic wines with a personal service to match. If any of our service falls below the standard you would expect of us, please let us know and we will try our very best to rectify any problems quickly and professionally.
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase any alcoholic product. By placing your order on our website, on the phone, or in person, you are hereby representing to us that you are at least 18.
Upon delivery, we may require you to sign for your order to confirm your age. We operate a “Challenge 25” policy which means that, even if you are over 18 years’ old but look under 25, you should expect to be asked for some proof of age at point of delivery. Deliveries are often fulfilled by a 3rd party courier. If, upon delivery, there is no one at the delivery address to receive your order or if the third party reasonably suspects the signee is under 18 we will not be able to leave the products.
By purchasing a product from us online, you agree that you are bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
All products are sold “as-is”, without any representations or warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or other description of physical condition. Despite this, if there is any problem with a product or delivery from us, please contact us and we shall endeavor to help in whatever way we can.
These Terms and Conditions of Sale, as well as your and our respective rights and obligations hereunder, shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. You consent to this exclusive jurisdiction with any product purchased from us. In no event shall our liability ever exceed the purchase price actually paid by you for such product.
Images used to represent products are intended for illustration purposes only, and are not necessarily true representations of the actual goods themselves. Prices on the website are all inclusive of VAT. (If you wish to receive a wholesale price list please contact us directly)
Prices are exclusive of delivery.
The prices quoted are those valid at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control, prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alteration to the rate of VAT.
Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on our website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found we will inform you by email as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order.
Promotional offers and prices are as stated, with no further discounts available.
Please note that vintages are subject to change at any time – we will supply an ensuing vintage, without notice, when the quoted is no longer available.
You will be notified by email as soon as we receive your order. Please ensure that you enter your email address on the order form. If we have any queries regarding your order, we will contact you via email or telephone. If there are any disparities between the details that you have given us and records held to check against fraud, we may not dispatch goods until you have returned any queries that we have made to the contact details you have given.
We cannot guarantee availability of all products. In the unlikely event that a product is unavailable when you place your order, we shall contact you to arrange replacement, or another acceptable arrangement for the completion of your order.
We reserve the right not to accept any order.
Delivery is charged at £9.50 per case of up to 12 bottles unless otherwise stated. Order of less than 12 bottles will still be charged delivery at £9.50. Larger orders of over 24 bottles can be quoted on an individual basis.
Free local delivery to LE12 postcodes and on all orders over £500.
The goods you order will be delivered to the delivery address you give when you place your order.
If you have provided a delivery address that is not a mainland UK address or is an address outside the UK an additional delivery charge may apply to that stated, therefore we will contact you and provide you with a quote.
Orders are dispatched the day after your order is placed and are usually delivered the following working day. We guarantee deliveries within 3 working days unless stated.
We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the goods during transit unless, (a) A comment is made to the delivery driver and recorded at time of delivery (b) You notify us of any loss or damage within 3 working days of receipt (c) All packaging is retained for inspection or photographic evidence is provided.
We may use a courier such as Royal Mail to deliver you order. If you are unavailable to receive your parcel when the courier arrives to deliver, they will leave the parcel in a safe place (if you specify one when you place your order). If you do not specify a safe place the courier will leave a card to let you know delivery was attempted and to request you contact them for redelivery. If you miss your redelivery you will be responsible for any charge for the returned parcels or any further redelivery slots booked.
We can deliver to a work place rather than a home address if it is more convenient.
We will provide a full refund or replacement for any wines that are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We may require faulty bottles to be returned to us. We will arrange this as necessary at your convenience.
We hold the highest respect for our customers and guarantee our commitment to your privacy. We do not sell any of the information provided by you to any other institutions. By registering with us and/or buying products from us online, you will automatically be added to our mailing list, but you do have the option to unsubscribe. If at any time you would like to be removed from our list, simply click the unsubscribe button in the email or contact us at the store, and you will be removed immediately. We will not share your information. It will be used for keeping you up to date on information, events and offers linked to Kilo Wines.
