Description

Villa Giada lies at the heart of Piedmont’s winemaking region, halfway between the hills of Asti and Alba, near Monferrato and Langhe, the two oenological regions of Piedmont.

5 Generations of farmers have been producing wine at the estate since 1934. Today, 25 hectares of vineyard across 7 different plots according to the best position to give the traditional grape varieties their most prominent characteristics.

All of the vineyards are exposed from the South-East to South-West at an average of 300 metres above sea level, and are kept with grass between the rows in order to respect the natural vegetative cycle. The white grapes are grown close to the winery and the red grapes 4km further North where the soil has more mineral content which gives more roundness and acidity to the Barbera. Only natural products are used in the vineyard and winery with the aim to not only bottle the best possible wine, but also the tradition and character of the land.
